Medical Tourism
Medical tourism
In Asia
While we generally do not stray to far from Asian dating, travel tips and accommodation etc, I would like to add a few lines on medical tourists which I came upon while I was googling it is rather interesting, well I thought so!!
The medical tourism is generally western people coming to Asia something most Asians are probably unaware of,around a million people a year with over 700,000 from America alone are traveling abroad for medical care providing billions of dollars of income to those countries in Asia,Malaysia,Philippines and Thailand are the most popular with more Asian countries (Singapore) jumping on the band wagon, advertising procedures and costs, more choices are India and Israel.
The reason behind this medical exodus is the extremely high cost of health care in the west, the 1-2 year waiting times for surgery.
One American example:a man traveled to Thailand for a coronary bypass operation (heart surgery) it cost $12000 usd and was done in a month in the States the man had a 1 year wait and a $100,000 cost,at those savings I would do it myself.
Another reason for the increase is the modernization of Asian hospitals and a international level of hygiene and sterile operating conditions,Asia no longer has the third world medical stigma it once had and medical tourists are pleasantly surprised how clean, modern and professional the hospitals are.
The prediction is that medical tourism will increase by 10 times,a full face lift in USA is around $20,000 In Asia $2000-$3000,hip and knee replacements have swamped eastern hospitals with westerners Getting so much bigger this procedure will rapidly increase. Already the waiting times can be years, for the sake of hobbling to the Airport you can get it done in a few weeks at a quarter of the price when that is done you can meet hot Asian ladies..lol no just joking, rest and recuperation and then....
A large draw to medical travel is convenience and speed. Countries that operate public health-care systems are often so taxed that it can take forever to get non-urgent medical care. The time spent waiting for a procedure such as a hip replacement can be a year or more in Britain and Canada; however, in Costa Rica, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Cuba, Colombia, Philippines or India, a patient can often have an operation the day after their arrival. In Canada, the number of procedures in 2005 for which people were waiting was 700,000 I have lowered the actual figure so do not quote me but Canada does not have a big population so you can see what the western patients are up against.
Another big problem with western health care is most health care insurance does not cover orthopedic surgery including Knee/hip replacement,Colombia has a great deal going for $5000 and kidnapping of cripples is unlikely so well worth the trip.
How do you do it.
The answer is easy for most of us who are healthy and traveling to Asia to meet a wonderful Asian lady or to laze on the beach we ask for a plane ticket and a brochure in fact many travel agencies today offer medical holidays they will supply a list of hospitals, prices and procedures the Agency will organize accommodation for the post op recovery and a medical visa.

If you want to change the profiles you look at no problem (male-to-female) become a shemale, then 14 days in hospital,$6500 outlay and your away.
Dental surgery is another biggy again not often covered by health insurance and very expensive to have done in the west better to pull them out and leave them out or you can travel to Thailand and get your smile back on a budget.
well I hope this helps if not now maybe in 10-20 years time, until then brush 2-3 times a day.
Happy dating!!!!!!
