Thai Visa
Thai Visa Run
For those of you who wish to spend some time in Thailand specifically Bangkok for the reason of extended holiday or to spend more time with your Thai girl and Thai ladies here is one way to do that from Bangkok.
From New Zealand and Australia (some countries different) if entering on a single entry visa you get 1 months stay. However if you apply in your country for a tourist visa, you have a 2 month stay, then after 2 months you need to go to Bangkok Thailand Immigration to extend for the 3rd month. When that is done you can stay in Thailand a further 90 days that equates to 3 trips to Poipet Cambodia.
A recommended company to go with is Jacks golf,a all inclusive cost of 2200 Baht (at time of writing) covers 30 day visa, travel there and back and a meal at a casino.
The double Decker bus is modern and comfortable is air conditioned with comfortable seats, movie entertainment with free tea and coffee.
The Bus leaves every morning at 5am from Suhkumvit road,Asoke, the journey depending on traffic is 3.5 hours,it stops once on the way there and on the way back at service stations for 15 minutes, have a smoke or stretch the legs.
It is V.I.P service you basically wait at the border for the Visa Company to organize the visa this applies going into Cambodia and returning to Thailand,is very easy.
If you overstay your visa each day over will cost you 500 baht.
Once into Cambodia and you have run the gauntlet of cheeky children they will take you by Van to the Casino (5 minutes from border) there you will spend a quiet hour or so eating a meal and deciding whether to try the one armed bandit slot machines or better still take a book with you.
Going back is the reverse of going in a brief stop at the border run the beggars gauntlet again arrive at the bus for a free cup of cold water and cold towel.
be back in Bangkok around 2.30pm.
Bus has Newspapers on board if your lucky it will be the days paper.
The crew speak the English are friendly and helpful.
see you same day same time next month..chow!
